Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear rules for cancellations, refunds, and charge timelines under Indian consumer law.

1. Two layers of charges

  1. Partner charges — train/bus/flight/hotel/cab amounts charged by the operator or OTA. Refunds follow that partner’s published cancellation window and fees.
  2. Platform fees — convenience or service fees charged by GoMandir (if any). These are generally non-refundable once a booking is confirmed, except where we cancel due to our error or as required by law.

2. How to cancel

  • Use the trip dashboard cancellation action where available, or
  • Email support@gomandir.in with booking reference, passenger names, and reason

We will initiate partner cancellation APIs or guide you to the partner portal when required.

3. Typical partner windows (indicative)

Exact windows are shown at booking time and on the confirmation:

  • Rail: per IRCTC / Railway cancellation chart (including clerkage and time slabs)
  • Flights: airline fare rules (often non-refundable for promo fares)
  • Hotels: free cancellation until a stated local time; no-shows usually non-refundable
  • Buses: operator-specific; many cut off hours before departure

4. Refund timelines

  • After partner approval, refunds are initiated to the original payment method (UPI / card / netbanking / wallet)
  • Bank/UPI credit typically appears in 5–10 business days (issuer dependent)
  • We will share a refund reference when initiated

5. Failed / duplicate payments

If payment is debited but booking is not confirmed, contact support within 48 hours with UTR / payment ID. We will reverse or complete the booking as applicable after reconciliation with the payment aggregator.

6. Force majeure

Natural disasters, bandhs, curfews, railway cancellations, or temple closures may be handled under partner or government relief schemes. GoMandir will assist with documentation but does not guarantee additional compensation beyond what partners/authorities provide.

7. Donations

Voluntary temple donations processed through the platform are generally non-refundable once remitted to the trust, except duplicate transactions.

8. Disputes

Unresolved refund issues can be escalated via Grievance Redressal. Consumers also retain rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
